Erica gracilis 'Gracilis'. Third-generation Ostrobothnian greenhouse growing tulips January to April and Calluna August to October. Heated with wood chips from local forests.
Plant outdoors in containers, window boxes or on graves in acid, well-drained soil. Keep moist; Calluna does not tolerate drying out. The bud-bloomer flowers stay closed and keep their colour until the first hard frosts.
